I can't even listen when trans-humanism is brought up. It freaks me out too! Great reflection, Judson. Thank you.

Got a question about prophecy? About the Eastern gate being closed. And that Jesus will enter through that gate. Is that a reference to the Eastern kingdom and that he will come from that direction?

Eastern Gate prophecies are typically post-biblical anachronism . In my opinion, it falls under eisegesis because folks typically read meaning into passages because of the historical significance of the Eastern Gate in Jerusalem, also known as the Beautiful Gate in Acts. The primary passage is Ezekiel 44:1-3.

The gate, which made the temple most visible, was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D. . And rebuilt in the 7th century, but then sealed after Islamic conquest—this is primarily when folks started to ask questions related to Eastern Gate, the 2nd coming & prophecy tying it with Palm Sunday.

The locked gate and the prince I would interpret personally for Jesus’ first not second coming & the reason why is due to Ezekiel 34 and it’s Good Shepherd prophecy of God coming to shepherd His own people.

And this all ties in with Ezra & Nehemiah where the Shekhinah (God’s presence) doesn’t return to the rebuilt 2nd temple in Jerusalem. So, it’s possible within the confines of Biblical revelation that the prince is Christ, who is God coming to shepherd His people. The locked gate could be even interpreted as Mary’s perpetual virginity.

St. Jerome writes, found in Aquinas’ Golden Chain, “For it signifies that the coming of Christ is the salvation of the world, whence it follows, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Which same thing the Saviour in the Gospel confirms, I am come in my Father’s name.”

I am afraid that is not my wheelhouse. Phillip or another writer for Missio Dei would likely be better to answer your question. I let today's troubles suffice and don't worry the future.

I am afraid I am not aware of this myself. I have passed the question onto Phillip.

God does want us to be content in Him because lusting for things makes us only want more without ever arriving at contentment. Our contentment from God comes when we rest in Him from all our lust pursuits and worries. We do this by being anxious for nothing by casting all of our care on Him (cf. Philippians 4:6-7; 1Peter 5:5-7).

I appreciate this short history of our mortality. Taking a step back and taking a look at what we’re doing and where we’re headed, is like coming up for water and looking around the surface of the water.

I ask these things, because in all stories of the Bible, whether Moses or Jesus Christ himself, Satan tried to prevent it, by using the worldly kings and rulers, by destroying the newborns. We currently have this being implemented throughout the world, to the point of abortion to self mutilation on one’s own self and their children’s bodies along with the mass campaigns on sterilization and control by using the jabbs. It seems apparent, that the beast knows something that we don’t.

There is no doubt about that! Saint Justin Martyr wrote extensively on how demons, being fallen angels, have some knowledge of the future. Of course, if they had full knowledge they would know how the story ends and give up now and perhaps save themselves future suffering. But, they know enough to predict the future through psychics, pagan religions etc. They know enough of future events to convince people to believe they are gods, to participate in magic and the occult or to try to hurt faithful Christians. The harder we try to be faithful Cristians, the more demons assault us. They know our thoughts and prayers just as angels do. That is why it is so important to have a relationship with your Gurdian Angel, pray to Saint Michael the Archangel for protection and to pray to all the angels and saints for help. It is their job and delight to pray for us, to help us and to protect us. Due to free will, they can only do that by our request and assent in a personal way. This "great cloud of witnesses'" is our family in Christ.

I appreciate your article Judson. I will say the devil is very busy these days, and it is not that he is not always busy, but now it is becoming much more in the open. I have been reading in a lot of chats how many people primarily on the left are supporting the satanist movement (they are embracing the abortion topic primarily and finding agreement.) I guess the saying the enemy of my enemy is my friend can be applied here. We must pray, and do our best as this is a spiritual battle above all. Lastly I was surprised the Marriott allowed the SatanCon to be at the hotel. I am not sure I will be staying at that hotel and surprised this Mormon owned business could not say no. But we are in the times where all voices must be heard or you will be vilified in the media as not being "inclusive." I do not think it is so hard to see that certain buzz words for example like inclusive, and diversity has lead us down this path. What are your thoughts?

I agree, and also will not be staying at a Marriott. Fortunately, I do not enjoy Bud Light! Things seem to be coming to a breaking point. I don't know if it will be an economic disruption, war or EI. Economic is the primary concern now. I don't mind speaking plainly because I have opted out of modern culture and basically live on my own terms. I am afraid we will need to focus more on the family as the "home church" and establish somewhat tribal relationships with like-minded folks. Prioritize resilience, reduce debt, build in layers of defense. Pray. We cannot change the world. Endure.
