I honestly think I understood the Word of God better as a child than I do now. It was more real and revelent. I could relate to God and His Word better! As a former teacher of both adults and children, I can say that kids really got what I was teaching and had very insightful comments🕊 Why is that? Well for one thing as adults we have "yes, but" attitudes. We can think of a thousand and one objections, doubts etc. Children listen more openly, more honestly and they think deeply giving the message a chance to speak them. They don't immediately dismiss it with excuses, and they are more willing to try things new to them! Pray for the heart ofva child🙏
I think our ability to reason, while a very precious gift, also overshadows that response of wonder to all the God can do for us and our ability to really live in the present moment. To rediscover how to receive the kingdom as a child is a great prayer! Thanks for sharing your insights!
The heart of children is so honest, and your reflection today is a great reminder of the wonder and awe children have when learning new things. Thank you for this reminder on what it is "to be childlike."
Being childlike is not only receiving God’s revelation, but it is also receiving God Himself by humility where we become part of the Body of Christ (cf. Matthew 18:3-5). The Spirit places us in the Body of Christ (cf. 1Corinthians 12:13).

Truly, they are honest, which often manifests as a willingness to not know the mystery and still be joyful about it. Thank you for your thoughts!
I enjoyed your article.

I agree!
