When I was in my late teens, my girlfriend used to experiment with a ouija board. She had several friends who were witches. She was 10 years older than me. One evening, when I arrived at their apartment, they were using the board and it went totally silent when I entered the room. Her friends were very frustrated. The next time, it said, "Make him leave." THank God for Baptism!

I have heard of a similar story. A woman I knew had a sister that walked in on her friend's playing the Ouija board. She threw her rosary at the board, and it spelled out "I hate" and then her name. They stopped playing.

That sounds right. I dated one of her witch friends later. She was so beautiful... a tall redhead, willowy with green eyes. I really fell for her and she did for me, but she couldn't stop trying to manipulate me with magic. She would get so frustrated and say, "Nothing I do works on you!" One night, I had a dream where her cat was talking to me. I Just called her in the morning and said, "Cut that @#$% out!"

Thanks for writing on this topic. I had a friend bring a Ouija board into my Dad's business one night and I tried it with him. Actually it was about five of us and I was young and not aware of the dangers at that time. I will say that thing scared me to know end and I did not mess with it anymore. Praise the Lord and I am glad you wrote this article to keep people informed. Praise Jesus!

Thank you for a great article. The warning is most definitely needed in this day and age when people seek answers everywhere. My only criticism is that whilst you focus on Catholicism, this is as relevant to all Christians, so why not address a bigger audience. Come to think of it, even more so - unbelievers also need to hear your message.

Do I have to say good bye out loud to close the session or do I just have to move the planchette over to good bye to close the session or do both also for house blessing wise I forgot to tell the priest I’m not baptized and the priest went to my house and tried to bless it is the blessing invalid. I feel like the Roman Catholic Church is not an expert of the super natural and that the priests answers are very vague to difficult questions.

I was in a B&N in a fairly "conservative" part of the country recently and, right near the entrance, plenty of books of "spells" and the rest.

It seems to be everywhere. I recently went to Five Below and all of their books were new age. I know when I go to the mall there seems to be new age stuff in many store windows.
