Praying over this passage, I thought of how the tax collector was redeemed because he was able to spiritually be naked before God, while the Pharisee clothed himself with the pretence of good-works. The Tax collector did what the first Adam failed to do in sin; the Pharisees found a way to make the the moral Law a cover for his fallen ways.

Thank you for sharing this, Father; it’s very beautiful and gives me a deeper appreciation for this parable in light of salvation history.
