When things go wrong in our personal lives and in the world, such as now, we blame God immediately. We forget two things. We forget that God gave humans individually and collectively a free will. He gave us the Faith, the Church and the Bible, so we would know right from wrong, put very simply. Then He sent His Son to unite heaven and earth give us needed graces to do only His will, to do right! At creation God said here is creation, life on earth. It is my gift to you. Take the very care of it. It is yours to care for and unselfishly love, and Jesus reminded us that all we have to do is to love God first with all our being and to love our neighbor. When a young man hoping to trip up up Jesus asked who is my neighbor, Jesus said everyone even enemies! Then God did one final thing He let His Son be punished for our sins. Jesus promise He would never leave us. He would remain with us and fill us with His Holy Spirit to help us every step of the way, to empower us to do only good.

So after all this what do we do? We turn on God and ask "why are you not helping us"!

Wow, this is so true! God has done so so much for us, and yet, we blame Him and demand more from Him. If only everyone could recognize the lengths God has taken for us, and how perfectly and completely He loves us. Thank you so much for this thoughtful response. God bless you Kathleen
