When I surrendered myself to God 50 years ago, the hurdle that I had to overcome was the willingness to do it. I was walking down a street by myself when I decided to do then and there. I had no one encouraging me to do it because it was not something that was discussed at the time in the Church or anywhere else that I knew of. I wanted inner peace, and the instruction that I found for getting it from God was in Scripture: and it worked. I have no idea if anyone had been praying for me to make this move toward God. Ultimately, it is an act of faith on our part toward God regardless of who intercedes for us, whether we are aware of this intercession or not. Scripture verses that instructed me in this are: Philippians 4:6-7; 1Peter 5:5-7; James 4:5-10; Galatians 5:16-26; Proverbs 3:5-6; Matthew 6:25-34, 11:28-30; Psalms 37:7, 55:22; Isaiah 26:3-4, 30:15, 55:6-9; John 6:63; Romans 13:14; 6:13; 8:28.
So true! More and more I appreciate Our Blessed Mother!
