Recently saw a Twitter feed from a Midwestern Catholic High School proudly sharing how many of their upcoming graduates were accepted into universities/colleges. Of the five institutions listed, none were Catholic institutions. Doh!
EXACTLY! Well said! I wish every Catholic parent could read this! I wish and pray that all our bishops and school administrators would believe, teach and insist this will be the way in all our schools. My daughter sent her son to a Catholic college believing a true Catholic Christian education would be given him. It was more worldly than secular schools!
Perfect charity (agape love) starts out as a fruit of the Spirit within us. Only then can it radiate outward into our vocations. Catholic teaching and education need to revisit this aspect of Catholicism. Attempting to serve God without this love is on a no higher spiritual level than an atheist who does good deeds.
Amen, well said and absolutely true! This needs to be said loudly!!!!
