I agree with Thomas Aquinas’ statement before he died. Studying his philosophy was required at the Jesuit university that I attended, but it did not bring me to a place of faith in God. Reasoning alone was not enough for me. I later found faith and trust directly in God. This is what connected me with Him. It happened when I stopped leaning on my reasoning (cf. Proverbs 3:5-6).

David, my story is different tho it began the same. I was in the convent, and the Lord whispered to me also to marry. I did for 26 years. Two of my children write for Missio Dei. After 26 yrs I became single. I look for a new mate. The Lord whispered again be celibate, remain single. I have and I am. My point, we must be as the Lord wills at every turn in our lives. In obedience comes oneness with the Lord.

Some of you maybe called to the single or religious life,all I know the Lord whispered to me I needed a woman,which was reinterrated to me by the Brother General of the Franciscan order I was trying to join,years ago!
