Beautiful reflection Deacon Mark. Thank you for always drawing our hearts to eternal truths and sharing with us the thoughts of the early Church Fathers.
I believe that the best definition of the humility toward God that lifts or exalts us is found in 1Peter 5:5-7 that tells us to cast all of our care on God. It sounds extreme, but it works. There are other verses in Scripture that support this. See Philippians 4:6-7; James 4:5-10; Galatians 5:16-26; Proverbs 3:5-6; Matthew 6:25-34, 11:28-30; Psalms 37:7, 55:22; Isaiah 26:3-4, 30:15, 55:6-9; John 6:63; Romans 13:14; 6:13; 8:28.
Thank you, Deacon Mark.
