At the ascension, those who saw it were told that Jesus would return in the same way that He ascended (cf. Acts 1:11). In Acts 1:6-7, Jesus didn’t deny that He was going to restore the kingdom to Israel. Any thoughts on where this fits into the eschatology of the End Times?
I would also add to Phillip’s statement that the Church is the new Israel, as St. Paul taught, and is equivalent to the new Kingdom, while Heaven is the new Promised Land of Christ’s new Exodus. Thus, for the End Times, as the Apocalypse reading said, Christ will restore the Kingdom to Israel by establishing the Church in perpetuity and perfection, including for those ethnic Jews who convert.
Happy Thanksgiving Kaleb!
You too, Al! I'm thankful for all of your generous comments! God bless!
Wonderful piece!

It’s how Israel is defined & what that means for the end times. There are three major ways to define it:
(1) the church, (2) the elect among ethnic Israel throughout history, or (3) a future mass conversion of ethnic Israel.
Thank you!
Thank you very much! God bless!
