Jesus came to deliver all of us from the effects of original sin. The most universal one is our human weakness. Peace, happiness, and strength are available in this life to deal with this weakness. Most of us do not have to deal with outright demonic possession; but, we all need Jesus anyway. If we want Biblical results, we need to trust Jesus in the Biblical way of humility toward Him (cf. Philippians 4:6-7; 1Peter 5:5-7; James 4:5-10).
In my bit of scribbling on substack, I had a look at the same episode from the Gospel, except from Luke. Mine's not irreverant, it's just abnormal. Would be very interested to know what you think.
