Thank you Melissa for this article! I have struggled with looking into the past. Your words about allowing God to walk with you was very impacting because I have always tried to tell myself to walk it alone. I remise and tell myself that it is silly to look back or that I am over it. I have never asked God to walk with me and help me resolve past hurts or tribulations. God Bless you!

Beautiful reflection Melissa! I've often struggled with how to process regret and guilt about things that happened in the past, but thanks to the grace of God I'm beginning to learn how to put those mistakes and sins behind me and move forward on my walk with the Lord. A new habit of daily prayer (the Liturgy of the Hours) and weekly Eucharistic adoration have helped me tremendously!

Then too, if we come to terms with our broken pasts we find that no matter how far down the scale we have fallen our experience can be useful to others. In my own case, those past hurts have become a life line for others. One of the great freedoms is knowing we are not alone.

Absolutely True! Looking back has been essential in my ability to move forward Also. I don’t regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it anymore because God has healed those dark places. If my purpose to look back is to heal I move forward. God gave me understanding as I bought him with me to those places. We observed together He revealed and I understood. Than we walked away. God wanted me to be healed and not stay broken that’s why He came to give me eternal life and to fix my brokenness❤️‍🩹. Thanks for sharing how God wants us whole and that He Heals so we can be His hand extended to someone else’s pain! How excellent is our King!!!!! Thank you lord for Melissa a Vessel of Honor for your Glory!🙌🏼
