Bishop Barron and Scott Hahn are both highly intelligent and well educated, but they know how to speak the language of the ordinary person and very effectively. More priests, teachers and theologians need to be more like them. I am fairly well educated and usually understand those who throw around big words, but when I need to be touched by the word of God, it is those who speak in ordinary language who reach me with God's voice!!!
Thanks! Last night a guy got in touch who is considering converting from Baptist to Catholic. He made the point that he understands my plain way of writing. I think we need to focus on that. If Jesus could wash feet, we can speak to normal people.
