I woke up earlier than planned this morning. As I had extended time to pray, I prayed prayed something similar to what you wrote. I thank the Holy Spirit for putting these words in your mouth! It is wonderful. "Reflect on what rock of disbelief you still hold in your hand." What a loving and faithful Father we have.
I knew an older Episcopal man who did something similar. He had decided that he wasn't going to argue beliefs with the mostly Baptists around him. The Baptists with their born again bullshit would tell him he needed to be saved. He would decline to talk about it. They would ask him "well what do you believe" and he would open his mouth and begin "I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth..." I admired his approach and want to use it too.
