This is such a beautiful article; thank you, Deacon Mueller. I once heard those happy, fleeing-the-Cross “Crucifixes” referred to as a Resurrexifix, and that is what I shall forever call them. In my parish, we are blessed to have a beautiful fresco of the Crucifixion painted on the wall of the sanctuary. It is a wonderful reminder that we kneel at the foot of the Cross every time the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered.

May God bless you, and have a blessed Good Friday and Easter!

Last year, I participated in the Sacred Heart of Jesus devotion. I started in June. June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It was a life changing experience. It’s no surprise to me now that June is pride month. Direct opposition to divine love and identity.

I will have to do this. Did you do this with a group or individually.

It’s on your own but others will be doing it as well. It’s a lovely mass and it blessed me because it made me think about God’s merciful love and the heart.
