No one knows when the use of medicinal herbs was discovered by ancient man, but it was certainly long before recorded history. Archaeological evidence of the use for medicinal herbs dates back to more than 60,000 years ago! Nearly every ancient culture on earth passed down legends, verbally, about the use of medicinal herbs being revealed to man by religious deities. Such legends are easily dismissed as myths by modern Christians and "men of science", yet those stories were also recorded by the Jewish tradition in which Christianity is inextricably rooted. It makes sense to me that God would in His act of creation make plants of healing. Truthfully I think they are safer than man made medicines which consist of chemicals, many toxic.

We all share the same 2 ancestors, and much of the same knowledge of plants - God gave them to us all for food and medicine, fiber, etc.
