This is a really brillant explanation of Scotus's position! I never thought about how the Thomistic view kinda makes Christ seem like a divine 'plan B' rather than the centerpeice of creation. Last semester when I was studying theology, this whole debate just confused me, but you've made it so clear why Scotus's logic is so compelling. It really does make more sense that God's greatest act wouldn't be conditional on human failure.
