Thanks for this reflection, Andrew. I see it as continuation & development of my reflection on Monday.

It’s hard to write these type of reflections because they’re not going to get affirmation of other types of reflections. It challenges. It asks, again, “Are you the hypocrite?”

We need these examinations of conscience.

You take a step forward here. Whereas, I explained confession gets us back to the finish line. You step into the remedy of living a live of holiness by cultivating the virtue of humility.

Jesus is the model—the everlasting man—the man of humility.

Thanks brother. Yes, this is something that we need to constantly be examining ourselves about. Humility is the necessary prerequisite for the life of grace flourishing in us. I think the response to this reflection is providential. It looks like I'm going deeper into this. That just means God is telling me to examine myself on a deeper level as well...

I am humbled by this article, and to be honest, I did not know the history of the whitewashed tombs. So thank you for reminding us that humility is at the heart of our faith.

Well, I think this reflection has kicked us all in the teeth, butt and everywhere else we need a waking up! Yes, write a longer article on this!

Thank you. I am happy it is helping people. I will write the longer article soon. Be on the lookout.

“Only the humble can rest in God as He invites only those who will rely on His grace for sustenance.”

Well, dang. Thanks for this early morning swift kick to the proverbial teeth. 😂 Love the way you put it.

Amen. Over the past six months or so I have been kicked in the teeth with just how necessary humility is in the Interior Life. Maybe I'll write a longer article on it...

Please do! Humility as the key to daily conversion of the heart has been a theme that keeps cropping up. Would very much appreciate to see a more skilled “farmer” harvest its fruit.

So happy you undertook that. It was a privilege to read.

“pondering what is written of their existence in the Book of life” is a terrific way to think about it

I appreciate your words. Thank you so much for reading.

I appreciate that. I'm finishing another article currently but then I think I will turn my attention here.
