Thanks for the comment Nick. I started to dig into Avery Cardinal Dulles' book due to a comment from one of our readers, John Francis Pearring, who referred to the work. I have been familiar with Dulles' work on Covenant theology, which I found very informative in my own work on the topic. So far, it has been a joy to read his thoughts and views of a diverse but unitive expression of the faith throughout the entire history of the Catholic Church.

I imagine that such a unitive approach is also helpful in patristics. I'm trying to delve more into that and tackle the Ecumenical Councils when time allows.
