We run the risk of abusing the sacrament of reconciliation, by using it to feel good about ourselves and then we just keep sinning. We have to take it seriously, by expressing sincere sorrow and a purpose of amendment.
Absolutely. To sin wantonly with the intention of "just going to Confession afterwards" is the sin of presumption. If we use the Sacrament merely to validate our sinfulness, we are completely missing the point of the Sacrament. Yes, it is a chance to start over with a clean slate, but for our part, we need to resolve to change our ways.
I think it’s important also to be conscience of the act of showing up for the sacrament of reconciliation is a visible act of contrition itself for many.
I wonder how many folks would feel the high of “feeling good,” without actually being contrite for their sins? Perhaps, some?

For some people it could be a way to just consider themselves a practicing Catholic, and then return to their sinful ways.
