Gospel Reflection for Thursday, August 17, 2023
Many of us have been abused, but afraid and ashamed to admit it. Many of us feel guilty if we remove these people from our lives. So you make a good point by saying if we stay with them, we are actually aiding and abetting them in their sin. It is called enabling in the psychology world. We enable them to remain in their sin and their mental sickness, and that becomes our sin. Sometimes love has to be tough to be love, to bring to someone the love of Christ.
