In my younger days my mother would tell me whenever I had a problem, sorrow or some sort of suffering to praise and thank the Lord for it. My great grandmother would always say offer it to the Lord for the good of another. For a long time it angered me when they would say these things. But in a time great sorrow out of desperation, I did as they had taught me. It worked! The sorrow didn't quickly go away, but blessings to me and others muliplied and God was glorified. I try to continue to praise and thank God in both little and big suffering and annoyances. I slip a lot, but I try more and more often.

Thank you for that. I have a similar experience and many times even now I sometimes try to run from what God needs me to do. But you are right, sorrow does not usually go away quickly, but God does heal us if we allow Him to be in control.

Yes, exactly. Let go and let God be in charge. Its hard to do, at least for me, but it works!
