Bishop Barron and many other Catholic leaders and groups have, in 2023, increased their call that we pray hard for the return of all the fallen away, and that we honor Jesus's prayer that all His followers become one in Him. Many are praying for new Pentecost to to fall upon and within the Church, the family of God. Let us join them all in much prayer that God, and His truth and will be known, loved and lived by all!
Vatican II in Dei Verbum 21 says: "Therefore, like the Christian religion itself, all the preaching of the Church must be nourished and regulated by Sacred Scripture.”
This statement jumped out at me when I read it as to how it fit in with sacred tradition. I concluded that tradition, when regulated by Scripture, can both “be accepted and venerated with the same sense of loyalty and reverence.”
