I think I may be guilty of this especially with my youngest child, an adult. She has forbidden me to speak of Jesus and my faith to her and to my grandchildren, so I don't. I just pray for them daily. Am I wrong to obey her in this?
You have to follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit. I have a Mother in Law who is a bit like your daughter in this regard. I told her that I am not trying to beat her over the head with my faith but, not talking about Jesus is like not talking about my wife and children. They and He are those I love and so a part of my life. Jesus is in me and I in Him. I just can’t help myself.
I do pray to the Holy Spirit every time they come to use and speak thru me, but I seem to say very little. I pray quietly in my heart too in their presence especially for the grandkids and for guidance and wisdom, but again I never seem to say much.
