Jesus said to his disciples:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing,
but underneath are ravenous wolves.
By their fruits you will know them.
Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Just so, every good tree bears good fruit,
and a rotten tree bears bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit,
nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down
and thrown into the fire.
So by their fruits you will know them.”Matthew 7: 15-20
Let us praise the Lord brothers and Sisters! May we preach the Gospel to all nations and live according to His word. Let the words of our Lord penetrate our hearts, minds, and spirits.
In today’s Gospel, we are warned to watch for the false prophets, ravenous wolves, and bad fruit. I have heard it said that it is clear which works are the lords and which are of the evil ones. The evil one can make a vile work appear good for the time, sheep, but over time it will show its true colors, wolf. But the Lord’s works are always Good. At times he may allow us to go through struggles but these struggles are not evil but simply difficult for the time. The Lord will show us the righteous path, only if we choose him every day and submit ourselves to his will. Brothers and sisters allow yourselves to be sheep, the Lord is thy shepherd. be wary of the Wolves for they will appear as sheep.
