Thank you, this helps. I struggle as I pray the sorrowful mysteries of The Rosary, with the immense cruelty of the soldiers, the suffering of my beloved Lord Jesus. I know He volunteered. In my head, i know This is the plan and the will of the Father, but my heart is still not in tune with this program. I know this is His love in action. Still, I can barely watch as I go thru those mysteries. That's how I pray the mysteries, btw, watch them as scenes. The Lord's passion is absolutely devastating, even though I know He did that for me. That's probably why it's devastating? Idk. I'm still working through that and need His help.

Thank you for your comment. I think that it is the evidence of a tender soul that you recoil at the sight of the passion. The suffering that Our Lord underwent is unmatched by any other person. It is, as you say, devastating. I have always struggled with it myself. For myself, I find consolation in Our Lady of Sorrows. Hiding beneath her mantel at the foot of the cross. She had the fullness of Faith, Hope, and Love and loving consented to the immolation of her Son. That doesn't mean that it wasn't devastating to her. But she knew, that while the greatest evil ever done was being committed against her Son, she also knew that God was also bringing about the greatest Good ever done through it. I don't know if that helps. God bless you.

Good thoughts there. And yeshua has told me that I have a tender heart, also. I'm just figuring that out though. Duh.

Yes. I find that there are many 'Duh" moments in the spiritual life. God continually tells us certain things but it takes a while to sink in. All in His providential time. Keep contemplating the Passion. It is key to the spiritual life.

So true. So many times I've asked Him a question and the answer He gives is so simple. 'Duh' is the only response. Yet, getting my will in line with the answer is NOT so simple. Another 'duh'.
