I could argue in favor of traditional Church teachings being badly in need in the world. The other fellow defends the current pope on the grounds that Francis is beyond the doctrines and is trying to defang traditionalism by replacing it with love. I’m familiar with all of that and both sides have a hard time agreeing. What needs to be considered is a BOTH/AND understanding. Combine the hard truths of Traditionalism with a Christ like love for each other.
