Gospel Reflection for The 24th day of October in the year of Our Lord, 2024
Gospel
Luke 12:49-53
49 I am come to cast fire on the earth; and what will I, but that it be kindled? 50 And I have a baptism wherewith I am to be baptized: and how am I straitened until it be accomplished?
51 Think ye, that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, no; but separation. 52 For there shall be from henceforth five in one house divided: three against two, and two against three. 53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against his father, the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother, the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Today, once again, the Prince of Peace explains that He has come to create a new religion which will be at odds with the old, even among families. He also explains that Christians who are citizens of His Kingdom will always be at odds with those who follow the king of this fallen world, who is Satan. As I write this, yesterday was Sunday. Sunday is the most holy day of the year. Yet, our supposedly Catholic president desecrated the most holy of days by branding it the day of “trans recognition.”
Never mind that the Old Testament absolutely condemns homosexuality and trans-genderism as completely immoral, or that the New Testament states that neither homosexuals nor the effeminate will enter Heaven, or that the continual teaching of the Catholic Church for 2,000 years has condemned such perversion, or that even Pope Francis issues a statement recently saying that “trans” ideology is disordered, detrimental to society, the family and individuals, and can never be accepted by the Catholic Church. Joe Biden doesn't care. He wants the youth vote and will sell out on every Catholic doctrine and all morality to maintain his power.
Not only is the Catholic Church completely at odds with modern American society, but so are all Christians (and other religions) who believe in traditional morals. Our government is spying on Catholic churches, arresting and harassing those of us who speak out against abortion and the LGBTQ (etc) movement. Because we believe in the teachings of Christ and His Church, we are becoming persecuted Christians. If we do not stand up now, and demand that our bishops join us, we will be persecuted with the violence and oppression that faced the early Church. It has only gotten to this point because of our cowardice and that of our leaders. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Joe Biden and all professed Catholics who publicly support immoral policies must be excommunicated. Christ is King and His Church must once more act with His authority!

Absolutely agree that the archbishops, bishops, priests, etc. need to stand up for our beautiful Catholic faith that Jesus, Himself, established. Our faith is paramount and our voices must be loud and clear; not yelling, but strong and firm. +JMJ+
