Gospel Reflection For The 11th day of July in the year of Our Lord, 2024
Gospel
Matthew 10:7-15
7 And going, preach, saying: The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out devils: freely have you received, freely give. 9 Do not possess gold, nor silver, nor money in your purses: 10 Nor scrip for your journey, nor two coats, nor shoes, nor a staff; for the workman is worthy of his meat.
11 And into whatsoever city or town you shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and there abide till you go thence. 12 And when you come into the house, salute it, saying: Peace be to this house. 13 And if that house be worthy, your peace shall come upon it; but if it be not worthy, your peace shall return to you. 14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words: going forth out of that house or city shake off the dust from your feet. 15 Amen I say to you, it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand! Later in the year, we will celebrate the Feast of Christ the King, but this is something we should consider all year. We live in the Kingdom of God! Quite literally, Jesus Christ is the King of the Universe and since His incarnation some 2,000 years ago, the earth has received her King. The officers of God's court are Pope, Cardinals, Bishops, Priests and Religious of the Holy Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is the New Jerusalem. It is a shining city set upon a hill, visible to all ages. Our Lord established His Church to be His representative on earth and thus, to rule the world.
When we study Christian history, it is truly amazing how quickly Christianity spread even when it was still a religion of the poor and despised. Once Rome became a Catholic nation, the Holy Roman Empire spread Christianity throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia. This became Christendom and ushered in the greatest era of peace, humanity, arts and sciences that the world has ever known. Christian nations adopted Christian laws and morals and man was raised up to his rightful state. Hospitals and schools were opened. The poor were cared for. Granted, the conditions were still primitive by our standards, but this was a far better state of affairs than humanity had ever experienced. The kings of individual nations, in large part, submitted to the authority of the Pope. The Pope could settle disputes among nations, preventing or negotiating an end to war.
All of this continued until the so called “Protestant Reformation.” This ushered in both the concept that the king ruled with the mandate of God in his own nation, answering to no one, and the Masonic Order, a multi-national organization determined to influence politics with the stated goal of destroying the Catholic Church and all monarchies. Very quickly, Christendom was transformed into constantly warring nation states, colonialism, slavery and violent revolutions. Kings abused their power and the Freemasons encouraged the people to revolt and overthrow their kings. This gave rise to socialism, communism, Nazism, fascism, democracy, the United Nations, the New World Order, and every secular institution through which men have sought to establish self rule, free from both the Church and monarchy.
You may be surprised that I included democracy in that list, but our Founding Fathers specifically rejected democracy. They founded a Republic upon the rule of law, not mob rule, which is the inevitable result of democracy. As is often stated, it is democratic for 3 wolves to vote to eat 2 sheep. Or, as de Tocqueville wrote, “Democracy can exist only until the people realize they can vote themselves money from the treasury.” Democracy is actually a grave evil and not compatible with Christian morality. Satan was, after all, the leader of a democratic revolt.
If Christ is truly king, and we are truly Christians, we must return to Christendom. We must make every effort to restore Christian morals and teachings as the guiding principles of our governments. And yes, we must make every effort to bring our nations back under the rule of the One, Holy and Apostolic Catholic Church. Otherwise, all of our nations are rebels against the kingship of Christ. To put it bluntly, until all nations once again submit to the Pope, all nations are satanic.... and given the millions killed annually through abortion in our nation, perhaps especially, America.
