A very interesting interpretation of the gospel passage. The traditional view is that the person of Christ, the Kingdom, and the gospel is the pearl of great price, but this reversal of that interpretation shows the dignity of each human person by God's love for us.

Thank you for this! I try so hard to get it right for others, for myself and for the glory of God! Yet I never even get close. If I get close to anything, I get close to getting it wrong! Its stressful! Your article has put things in bettter perspective for me. Your article is a stress buster!!!!!

I understand! As Catholics I believe it can be easy to get swept up in the need to be perfect. But that is also a beautiful thing about being Catholic. The amount of humility it requires to acknowledge our imperfection. Though we are not perfect God still loves us and we can always look to him as our role model! Be Perfect for your father in heaven is Perfect. But know also to fall is okay because if you crawl to God he will help you up again always!!!
